On this blessed Friday, let us remember the timeless advice of the wise Luqman to his son:
“O my son, establish prayer, enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and be patient over what befalls you. Indeed, that is of the matters [requiring] determination.”
(Surah Luqman, 31:17)
This divine wisdom places establishing prayer (Swalah) at the very foundation of a righteous life. It is our direct connection to Allah, the anchor of our faith, and the source of our strength to enjoin good, forbid evil, and remain steadfast through all trials.
